History of the Internet Evolution

The Best Conclusion to Internet Wars of the 1990's       HISTORY:

Once upon a time at the birth of the Internet in the 1990's. There was a war between various standards...56k Modems ....ISDN....ADSL....VADSL......Fiber Optic Cables.....  The telecom companies were angling for a piece of the market, but they had to change the telecom regulations.   They were greedy and powerful monsters that had to buy cable companies, despite the laws of the land.   In fact they would change the laws were there power.   They even began to buy Internet Companies. They borrowed trillions of dollars to create GIANT MEDIA COMPANIES. Like today's AOL TIME WARNER.   Nothing like in the 1990s.   It used to be a bunch of young geeks that create code and graphics for stock options and a rush.

The Evolution of AOL started as an ISP Internet Service Provider , that evolved into an ICP INTERNET CONTENT PROVIDER, that married a media company, and a cable company.   Now its just a giant ...we are talking TIME magazine, CNN, Cable company, telecom, AOL, etc.   The ultimate content distributors.

There were casualities in the INTERNET WARS of the 1990s....As giants were built, geniuses were ripped off ....The likes of developers?!   The pirate mentality of the GIANT POWERS THAT BE gobbled up innovators like EXCITE www.excite.com One of the original three portal ICP's (Excite, Lycos, & Yahoo).

The CEO at the time was a gentlemen by the name of GEORGE BELL. He merged with a company by the name of @HOME.   Creating "Excite @ HOME" with Tom Jermoluk at the helm, they were the initial aggregators of FIBER Optic Cable Customers.   They merged with AT&T the telecom giant.   The CEO of AT&T Armstrong....saw the potential...saw the war! He had a vision where he could dominate, "BUY EVERYTHING and change the telecom laws".   He started to buy Cable companies all over the country.

   Status Quo:

So lets take a look at the status quo, by glancing over at the AT&T & AOL Time Warner balance sheets. We see trillions of dollars in debts for mergers, debts for installing the fiber optic cables, debts for legal fees, debts for media, etc.   They are offering 400 Mbps with fiber optic cables!

Now in 2008 The KIN Consortium and its incredible engineers have installed wifi systems that compete with the speed of the fiber optic cables companies.   The KIN Consortium has installed WIFI at 300 Mbps in Europe and the third world.  All the old debts on the books of AOL Time Warner and AT& T are laughable.   The Fiber optics option is going the way of ISDN.  Are the Telecom Giants too slow and fat to evolve?  Maybe its true what they say, "They sold out to the Monopoly of the Media".  Either way The KIN Consortium is at the cutting edge with 300 Mega Bytes per Second with Broadband Wifi and pushing for future innovation like (VSAT) Vertical Satellites.   There is no rest for those of us at the cutting edge.

               Welcome to the Wiresless Evolution

Stay Tuned,
